Wii fun without sports pack January 6, 2009 Pix Deel (Erie, PA) I bought the Nerf Pack to go along with the Wii this Christmas. Frankly, we usually skip the Nerf Pack because you need to worry how much you are swinging your racket, bat, and club. Our room isn't huge, so space is an issue with the Wii. The extra 6-8 inches or so makes it tighter. Also, unless you have 2 sets, one player is still using just plain controller.
Not Easy for Small Kids to Use January 2, 2009 T. Hough (Carlisle, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Dispite the so-so reviews, we went ahead and purchased these for our kids (ages 4 and 6) thinking they may make the Wii Sports games more realistic for them. They didn't. Instead the Nerf handles made the games more awkward for the kids. The HUGE parental downside for these handles is that the kids (with their smaller and weaker hands) were not able to remove the various heads from the base remote handle on their own (even I had some difficulty in interchanging them). The kids like to jump from game to game, and changing the handles became an immediate headache. As previously stated somewhere, when playing baseball you need to remove the Wii remote to pitch, which was incredibly annoying for the 6-year-old who plays against the computer, and could not get the Wii remote removed from the Nerf handle quickly enough to swing at the first computer-thrown pitch (the computer doesn't wait for you). I took a survey, and both kids voted to return both sets that we bought. If the set was about 1/3 of the price, we might have kept them just for the golf club, but they're not, so they're being returned. On the plus-side, these handles seem to be sturdy and well made.

Gave this to my 12yr old son. He thought the tennis racket was a little difficult to use, but enjoys the bat, haven't had a chance to use the golf club yet.
Great December 15, 2008 P. Saini (New Jersey) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this set mainly for my girlfriend who loves Wii sports but sometimes has trouble visualizing which way the wiimote has to face to get the intended reaction. This set solved that problem. I've seen other sets like this available but chose to avoid them (i didn't like the manufacturers). The nerf material in this set is what sold me...its soft yet still firm and it feels great in your hands (not too light or too heavy). Make sure you give your self even more room to play now.
