Terrible Amazon return service January 7, 2009 Ling Yu This product does not even work. It would never link to my PS3 after countless try. When I called the service center to try to find out what was going on, it always went straight to voice mail. I never even heard of any customer service would let you leave voice mail!!!! So, I decided to return it and I followed Amazon's return instruction, and till this day almost 1 month later, I haven't seen my refund yet. "Good job" Amazon for allowing yourself to sell such a crappy product and can't even do your refund service right.
OK Controller - BAD rechargeable battery January 6, 2009 Dr. Eric J. Karson (Bala Cynwyd, PA USA) Although the controller is not as "solid" as the Sony one's, as noted by other reviewer's, they are bigger, and may work better for adult-sized hands. However, the USB recharger and link, and the rechargeable battery packs are really poor - I am using mine with rechargeable alkalines.
The Unlikely Replacement January 3, 2009 Walton A. Flowers (Fort Lauderdale, Florida United States) This controller, i must say has its ups and downs, but is worthy to purchase.I was unsure about this controller at first but, I did a lot of research on to see if it was a good buy.And I must say it is.YES it my lacks bluetooth connectivity but that is it. It has everything you would want in a controller, Comfortable, Rumble, Six Axis and even has the Home Button. The controller does not feel the same way the original controller, almost feels similar like a Xbox 360 controller.(PS3 Gamers may not like that). And the R1 & L1 Buttons are not as comfortable. So if you are playing a first person shooter you may decide to reconfigure the controls to switch use the R2 & L2 instead. For me the controller small downfalls don't get to me because i have a 60GB PS3, which has 4 USB ports so i do not mind using port for the controller. The problem will arise when you have multiple controllers like this or if you the more recent PS3's with only two USB ports(the stupidest decision by Sony). Apart from that and the the feel of the L1 & R1 buttons it is good buy.
great controller December 28, 2008 C. Hulsey 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son absolutely loves the controller. It was in great condition as promised by seller.
Good but not Great December 23, 2008 ARCH09890 This is as close as you'll get to the DualShock 3. Maybe if the DS3 hadn't come out when I bought this, I wouldve given it 5 stars, but I would pick the DS3 over this. The L2,R2 button are hard to get to because the battery pack is in the way, and the D-pad feels kinda cheap. The analog sticks, and the action button feels better than the dS3 and I love how they light up. THe price that you buy this for really depends on how you appreciate it. If you get these for 30-40 bucks, I would say, save up for the DualShock 3, but if you pick these up for $4.95, like I did during the black friday sale, I would say they're woth every penny
